What are the advantages to the Neograft procedure?
Why is the Neograft procedure great? Past techniques of hair transplantation involved excising a strip of hair, which was then divided into smaller pieces for grafting. The resulting scar was a straight line with no hair growth that was usually noticeable in patients with short hair. With the Neograft procedure, individual hair follicles or groups of hair follicles are harvested with a punch technique in a scattered fashion. The result is that the donor sites are already starting to heal by the end of the procedure. The bare areas where the grafts are taken are hidden by the surrounding hair, which makes it less obvious that you have had a procedure done. Patients undergoing hair transplantation with this technique report little pain after the procedure.
