Hair Transplant Cost

hair transplant cost

Last week I touched on excuses, the reasons why people decide not to proceed with a hair transplant. I have heard pretty much every excuse in the book. By far the most common excuse is that a hair transplant costs too much money. At first glance this may appear to be true. The average cost of a hair transplant procedure is around $8,000. Add that to the fact that some patients may require a second or even third procedure to achieve their goals and people completely write off the possibility.

Being a scientist, I like to use reason and facts whenever I am trying analyze a situation. So let’s look at some facts about hair transplant. The most important fact is that the hair we move is genetically programmed not to fall out. So the results last a life time. If you are 40 when you get your transplant and live to 80, cost per year is $200.

Another fact is that most men that are losing their hair have spent hundreds or thousands of dollars on cover ups, magic pills or solutions, wigs, laser combs, etc. All of those “solutions” either don’t work or need to be used indefinitely to have any benefit. The final fact I will bring up is the tremendously high patient satisfaction this procedure has. In our experience 90-95% of men are happy they had the procedure and their only regret is not doing it sooner.

Now let’s reason through some of this. New cars average $30,000 and last 5-10 years. A daily cup of coffee costs $3 at Starbucks which translates to over $1000 per year. The average meal for 4 at a family restaurant costs $50. All of these things are not essential to life, they are perks, just as hair transplant is a perk. Forgoing some of the non-essentials in your life would allow most people to afford hair transplant. It’s just a matter of what you want to spend your money on. Personally, I would rather invest the money in myself then have a brand new car or an overpriced coffee every day.

I’ve made no secret that I underwent the NeoGraft hair transplant. I can tell you from firsthand experience how well it works. The feeling you get when you look in the mirror and see your head of hair is worth every penny you will spend. An easy way to save is to try the following. Every time you look at your hair and are unhappy with the way it looks, put $1 in a collection jar. When you find yourself grabbing a hat to put onto cover your bald spot, put $1 in a collection jar. Every time you want to spend $40 on cover up or $500 on a laser comb, put that money in a collection jar. I would venture to guess you will have more than enough money saved up in no time. See you soon!
